In the complex and ever-changing world of real estate, intervening on risk management issues and overseeing business operations is of vital importance. As Paragon Real Estate Group’s executive vice president and legal counsel, that’s my job...have a big-picture perspective, while at the same time closely scrutinize the critical details of all our projects.
    My education path started at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland; and from there, I moved on to UC Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law to earn a graduate degree. By the time I began practicing law, I had already completed my first home remodeling project in San Francisco. Its success simply paved the road to other single-family home and apartment building renovations, followed by condo conversions, new home construction, and development of mixed-use condominiums and luxury subdivisions. As the projects’ sizes and values grew, so did their complexity and the challenge to increase my breadth of knowledge required to succeed.
    It’s been a busy 25 years in this business: I’ve led teams of sales and leasing agents at TRI/Prudential Real Estate, Coldwell Banker and Pacific Union/GMAC, all of which ranked in the nation’s top five for productivity and excellence; perfected my skills in development, residential sales, commercial leasing and property management; overseen 10,000+ real estate transactions; co-founded Paragon Real Estate Group and served as director of both the San Francisco Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors.
    I have a feeling many people don’t realize just how much is involved to produce a steady stream of problem-free, ethical real estate transactions. On the other hand, it’s my peers who take note of stellar outcomes in this business. And that’s why I’m especially proud of having been awarded Realtor of The Year by the San Francisco Board of Realtors.
