I believe the gift of creativity is nothing until it’s coaxed, perfected and put to good use. I have to thank my father for drawing it out by enlisting me as his real estate marketing assistant when I was just a teenager. Not only was it a perfect opportunity to learn how use a computer and a camera to promote the properties he was selling, but I got my first taste of collaboration with others—something that still inspires me on a daily basis. It’s a good thing my dad finally discovered how to channel my creativity into productive areas since my passion up to that point had been breaking things, such as camcorders and VCRs, just so I could meet the challenge of putting them back together again. And as you can imagine, many of my early quests weren’t a complete success.
    By the time I was a young adult and had to make a career decision, it was a simple choice to make. A clear path led me right through the front door of the San Francisco Academy of Art to study graphic design and photography. Then I found my way into the marketing department at Vanguard Properties and finally moved on to Paragon Real Estate Group as a marketing coordinator. Today, I am an integral part of the online and print promotional materials we produce for our clients—including websites, brochures, fliers, ads, signage and presentations.
    Give me a camera, and I’ll use it like an artist’s paintbrush. Give me an environment, and I’ll capture its unique essence. Then give me a computer, and I’ll document its beauty and share it with everyone. It’s my gift.
